Post Implementation Review
Did we achieve what we set out to do?
A Post-Implementation Review (PIR) is an assessment and review of the completed working solution which seeks to answer the question posed above. It will be undertaken after a period of live running, some time after the project is completed.
There are three purposes for a PIR:
- To ascertain the degree of success from the project, in particular, the extent to which it met its objectives, delivered planned levels of benefit, and addressed the specific requirements as originally defined.
- To examine all elements of the working solution to see if further improvements can be made to optimise the benefits delivered.
- To capture learning from the project so this can be used to improve future project work.
A PIR should take place some time after the solution has been deployed. Typically periods range from 6 weeks to 6 months, depending on the type of solution.
CELRE will be pleased to work with you to carry out a formal PIR to ensure all the specified objectives were met. We will draw up a series of questions as the basis of our investigation, conduct the appropriate research and present a report of our findings. Where appropriate we will also propose specific actions to address any further work that is recommended.
